Talia Ricci is a multimedia journalist, educator and freelance photographer with a passion for people and storytelling.
One month ago, I had the pleasure of exploring Morocco. It’s a country that’s so effortlessly colourful and cool. Going through these images helps bring back a feeling of normalcy in this uncertain time, and reminded me how lucky I am that I got to meet amazing people in another part of the world, right before the world changed.
Ania and I went to journalism school together and when we met her and her husband Mark for a cocktail and heard their plans for their big day, I was excited to photograph it with Gage.
These are some of my favourite shots from my batch. The lovely decor, flowers and bubbles made it a breeze to capture beautiful moments.
Fall brings us beauty in two phases; first with the lovely colours in the trees, and then a rainbow forest floor for our feet.
Some of the first moments of the year - often a result of waking up on a free day and saying 'let's go somewhere.'
Here are a couple of my favourite moments from the last wedding my partner and I shot. Kelly and John found us through Instagram and we were very excited to shoot the wedding of two people we didn't already know! We were also a little nervous - but that went away very quickly after meeting the ultra laid back couple. Photographing a wedding in this case barely felt like work. The location was beautiful, the people welcomed us as if we were there as guests and it's truly an amazing experience to be around people who are happy and celebrating such a milestone day.
I've launched a new website called Wild Bella. It's vegan and gluten free recipes and mindfulness practices. Through my recipes and writing, I want to share with you what my outlook on food is. I believe cooking is a creative outlet. Food can be healing. A big part of health is also having a peaceful mind.
I'm currently training to become a Certified Culinary Nutrition Expert through the Academy of Culinary Nutrition. I hope you enjoy it!
