Tattoos + Girl Power
Metamorphosis Body Art in Winnipeg's Exchange District in unique and awesome in a couple of ways. Firstly, the shop is made up almost entirely of women. This is rare in such a male-dominated industry. It was also started by a mother and daughter. Here are a few photos I snapped when I stopped by to do a story.
Forest Thoughts
How can life be anything but art? You create days as you design yourself.
Black and White Film
I love capturing my environment in black and white. There's something so raw about it.
Vintage Find
What better way to make a new apartment feel like home than to treat yourself to a vintage tea set hand made in England? I knew this belonged in our kitchen the second I saw it!
Good old home, hello new home
This cozy loft was my safe place when I first moved to Winnipeg and didn't know a soul. Making my surrounding feel like a creative haven has always been very important to me. Filled with travel trinkets and photographs, my exchange district bachelor gave me a great year. I'm moving into a new exchange loft with my boyfriend, and couldn't be more excited. I am sure there will be many interior design/craft posts to follow after the move!
35mm
Ah yes! In a culture of immediacy how wonderful it feels to experience discipline in the form of waiting to unveil and touch the results of film photos. Shot on Olympus OM2.
thrifty
I've been shopping in vintage/thrift stores since I was 13, but this is one of my favourite finds.
This line of Kerr's Furs parkas were made in the 1950's in The Pas, Manitoba. I found this gem for $15 in a little shop in Brandon, MB.

Dawn of the weekend
With ease, we make our world so familiar we barely see it anymore. Routine is okay, but only if you are constantly seeking the beauty within it.
