Defying age
Meet Lou.
He's 92 years old and still goes to blues night at Times Changed every Sunday. He dances, he strikes up a conversation with just about anyone and he gets up on stage to rock the harmonica.
As he closes his eyes to feel the music you know he is actually dancing much harder than his aged body allows, and has a mind far wiser than we may ever give him credit for.
"Sharing our stories is at the core of what we're about. I don't think we exist for each other without sharing our stories... it's truly fundamental to our human nature."
- Vincent Lam
My Winnipeg Apartment
So many of my experiences in the last couple of years aren't tangible. From photographs that have been lost in cyber space, words I never bothered to write down, to meaningful letters that exist only in pixels. I've met so many beautiful people already in this new city of mine, and I want to remember them all and I want to be able to share their faces with my friends back home. I am going to put this Polaroid camera to use and take a portrait of everyone who spends time in my Winnipeg apartment. I was delighted to hear when I bought this camera that there's been more of an interest in instant photography and getting photos developed. Let's hold moments in our hands again.
